Life Down Under- Sydney edition

Why hello there friends! So this morning I had my first experience with an uninvited visitor. There was a juicy Huntsman Spider in my bedroom ready for me when I woke up. It wasn't massive but it was still bigger than anything we've got back in the UK so I was definitely not prepared to deal with it, so I summoned my host Mum, Jackie, to help me out! I pray he'll be the only one to make an appearance but I'll keep you updated! Other than that I've had a super exciting weekend! I had a long weekend off work so I decided to make a trip up to Sydney to see one of my best friends from home, Polly, who moved there around November last year. I had so much fun but it was such a shame that the weather happened to be terrible for the majority of the time I was there. It managed to hold back on Thursday night when Polly, her flatmates and I decided to go to the Ivy, a club which has free entry before 10pm on a Thursday. Life Down Under- The First Month

PHEW. This job is both so much fun and extremely exhausting. Don't get me wrong, I'd do anything to have a job where I make sandwiches and play hide and seek all day over being sat in an office but it's tough entertaining a 13 year old and  6 year old all day, every day. Don't even get me started on the arguments I've had to break up and OH how there have been so many crocodile tears. But it's definitely rewarding. I've been welcomed into this family like I'm one of their own and I can definitely say it's my home away from home. I'm stationed pretty far out of Melbourne city but I'm a 10 minute walk from what must be one of the most underrated beaches in Melbourne- Bon Beach . Technically, the suburb is Chelsea , which is full of little restaurants and bars. I get plenty of free time to enjoy the area and I often get long weekends off when I can venture into the city via the train- TOP TIP: you will get fined for having your feet on the...
